If you’ve recently split and decided being single is not all it’s cracked up to be. Here are a few things you can’t do if you want to get your ex back. Most people will end up doing one or the other of these simply because they know no different.
1 – Telling lies to others about your ex
You will ruin any chance you have of getting together again with this one. If they were spreading lies about you, how would you feel about that? I know I would be gutted. If that happened to me there’s no way I’m getting back with my ex.
2 – Getting your ex to be a bit jealous
Now, this can work to your advantage under certain circumstances. But it won’t work when you’ve just broke up and you are clearly in bits and they know you will try anything to get your ex back. This can backfire big time. The jealousy you are looking for may turn to revulsion and they then know it’s over for good.
3 – The stalker
Do we even need to discuss this one? But just in case we do. The best you can hope for is to be seen as desperate and needy. That doesn’t help you at all. At worst you can come across as dangerous and frightening, which could lead to the law being involved which will most definitely kill any chance you have.
4 – Getting revenge on your ex
Revenge may be sweet but if revenge is on your mind do you really want to get them back? If you are prepared to do the dirty on them in any way at all you can’t really love them as much as you think. You simply don’t hurt the one you love.
5 – Text pest
This is almost like electronic stalking but it’s just as serious. Calling and texting constantly can be seen as a form of mental torture. Trust me this is not how you wanna come across. Best case scenario they ignore the calls, worst case they change their number. Then you’ve screwed any chance of future contact.
So, we now know a few things not to do if you want to get your ex back. There are many things you can do to increase your chances but alas these aren’t them
Take a bit of advice and spend some time getting yourself in the right frame of mind to move forward with your plan. With your emotions under control you give yourself every chance of steering your ex back to you.
